Alsphons est en route vers son suicide, quand l'auto-stoppeur Marla lui fait obstacle et insiste qu'il l'emmène. Lorsqu'elle apprend pourqoui qu'Alphons veut se suicider un bizarre sort partagé commence.

Alphons è al volante con l’intenzione di suicidarsi ma viene fermato da un’autostoppista. La donna, in fuga da una noiosa vita di madre di famiglia, insiste perché le dia un passaggio.
