Un beau jour un petit oiseau sur un tricycle surgit à l'horizon. La girafe y voit une grande chance d'enfin échapper à sa misérable solitude Elle entreprend alors tout ce qu'il faut pour contenter l'oiseau. Mais ce dernier est simplement affamé et aimerait déguster bien calmement le toast aux vers qu'il a commandé. Le petit oiseau ne le recevra jamais ce toast, mais il trouve par contre un grand et fidèle nouvel ami.
