La jeune navigatrice Jess dirige son bateau de nuit quelque part en mer. Elle pêche un étrange poisson et commence alors une aventure étrange - la mer se soulève, attaque son bateau… jusqu'à qu'elle comprenne qu'il lui faut relâcher le poisson. Et là, elle s'aperçoit du réel danger, un pétrolier, qui arrive sur elle.
