Jakov aime sa fille de neuf ans, Matilda, plus que tout et veut être un bon père pour elle. En tant que père célibataire, Jakov doit faire de plus en plus d'heures supplémentaires sur le chantier et travailler le week-end. Matilda a peur de perdre son père et exige toujours plus d'amour et de présence. Jakov est de plus en plus dépassé par cette situation et cherche une issue.
