Beat Schlatter

Actor, Screenwriter

Born 1961 in Zurich, Switzerland. He played as a drummer in various punk bands for several years and became known in 1983 with the founding of the cabaret Götterspass. In 2012 Schlatter was honoured with the Prix Walo 2011 in the Actor/Actress category for his play SEEGFRÖRNI 2012 and the film HOSELUPF. Schlatter's greatest works to date are the films KATZENDIEBE (1996), COMEDIANS (2000) and STREAKER (2017), in which Schlatter is scriptwriter and actor. KATZENDIEBE won the Prix Walo, Komiker the SSA Award for Best Screenplay. In BON SCHUUR TICINO by Peter Luisi, he co-wrote the film and plays the lead role, the film had a brilliant Swiss cinema release in autumn 2023.
