Bindu de Stoppani

Born in 1976 in Pune, India. Joint Swiss and American citizenship. Received degree in acting from the Drama Centre, London. 2001 Founds Make a Play Productions-MaPP, theatre company. Studie Film Writing & Directing at City University, Raindance and the London Film School.
In 2012 Bindu wrote and directed her first feature film JUMP (Hugofilm/Manmade Films) which won five Awards at the BIFF British Independent Film Festival, including Best Director and Best Feature Film. Bindu’s second feature FINDING CAMILLE premiered at the Rome Film Festival in 2017, before the movie was released in cinemas in Switzerland and in the UK.
Just after the first Lockdown, Bindu's third feature 40 & CLIMBING (Hugofilm Features/Cinedokke) was released in October 2021. In 2021 she also shot two seasons of a new Netflix series she created (as Showrunner), co-wrote and directed, AN ASTROLOGICAL GUIDE FOR BROKEN HEARTS. Season 1 was released on the streamer in 190 countries in October 2021. Season 2 was released on Netflix in the spring of 2022.
