Bei einer gescheiterten Sabotage-Aktion einer jungen politischen Aktivistengruppe wird ein Wachmann schwer verletzt. Sie nehmen ihn mit zur Alphütte, in der sie ihr temporäres Versteck haben. Als sie merken, dass der Wachmann zwei Mitglieder der Gruppe erkannt hat, stehen die Aktivisten vor der Wahl, entweder den Tod des Wachmanns hinzunehmen oder sich zu stellen. Was ist mehr wert – das Leben des Einzelnen oder der Kampf für die gerechte Sache?
