Simon, ein Saxophonist und gelegentlicher Babysitter, passt eines Abends auf die achtjährige Charlotte auf, bis ihr Vater sie abholt. Zunächst haben Simon und Charlotte Schwierigkeiten, sich zu verstehen. Während die kleine Charlotte verzweifelt auf ihren Vater wartet, berührt die Traurigkeit in ihr letztlich Simon, und zwischen den beiden entsteht ein Band der Freundschaft.
Una sera, Simon (30), sassofonista e babysitter a tempo perso, deve occuparsi di Charlotte (8) fino all’arrivo del padre. Ma tra Simon e Charlotte l’intesa tarda a nascere. Mentre la bambina attende invano l’arrivo del padre, la tristezza che la abita finisce per toccare Simon, e i due finiscono col creare un legame di amicizia...
