Philippe Garrel
Screenwriter, Director
Born in 1948 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. Works as actor, screenwriter and film director. Directed numerous short films in his youth before making his feature debut in 1967 with MARIE POUR MÉMOIRE. Three years later, he directed the celebrated cult film LA CICATRICE INTÉRIEURE with and about the rock icon Nico. His 25-plus feature films have screened and won prizes at the most prestigious international festivals, with four being selected for the Forum.
