Yona Rozenkier

Born in 1981. Yona Rozenkier is an Israeli-French-Swiss director, born and raised in kibbutz Yehiam, currently living in Tel Aviv. He graduated from Tel Aviv University, Film and Television Department. THE DIVE (2018), his first feature film, won 4 awards at the Jerusalem International Film Festival: best actors, best photography, best first feature and best film. It was then selected for the Locarno Festival, Cineastes of the Present where it won 2 awards: the Young Jury Award and the Boccalino of the Independent Press. The film continues its festival career around the world and was notably screened at TIFF in Toronto. In 2019 he directed BUTTERFLIES, a short film selected for the Cannes Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival, among others. 35 DOWNHILL is his second feature film.
