Le peintre abstrait Franz Fedier, originaire d'Uri, a écrit l'histoire de l'art suisse avec ses «Drip Paintings». Aujourd'hui, sa petite-fille de 24 ans, Alma, ose jeter son propre regard sur l'homme, l'artiste et son œuvre et suit ses traces. En cours de route, elle rencontre des personnes qui avaient un lien avec son grand-père. Parmi elles, des personnalités de la scène artistique, comme la conservatrice Bice Curiger ou le professeur d'art Gottfried Boehm.
