Pina, 62 ans, était autrefois une avocate reconnue. Elle tente de reprendre pied dans son métier malgré les premiers signes de démence. Quand sa tentative auprès de son ancienne collègue Susan échoue, il devient clair que c'est la présence humaine plutôt que le travail qui lui manque. Dans la sobriété d’un moment partagé, les deux femmes trouvent un refuge dans leur amitié.
