Leon Schwitter est né en 1994 à Lenzbourg, en Suisse. Il a étudié le cinéma à la ZHdK (Haute école des arts de Zurich) et a obtenu son bachelor avec une spécialisation en scénario. Il est membre du collectif Sabotage de Zurich, où il travaille en tant que réalisateur et producteur. Son premier long métrage, REDUIT (2022), a été le premier projet de la société de production et a remporté le First Look Award à Locarno, l’Alexander d’or à Thessalonique et le Prix Fipresci à Schwerin. En 2025, il a co-réalisé avec Agostina Di Luciano le film THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN, qui a été présenté en première en compétition au festival Visions du Réel. Il a été sélectionné pour le Rotterdam Lab et pour Berlinale Talents. Parmi ses derniers films en tant que producteur, on peut citer I LOVE YOU, I LEAVE YOU, qui a remporté deux prix au Festival du film de Zurich et deux prix au Prix du cinéma suisse, ainsi que FIRST DAYS, qui a été présenté en avant-première à l'IFFR en 2026.
