Geboren 1992 in Bern, Schweiz. 2013-18 Bachelor Film an der ZHdK (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste). 2018-21 Master Regie Spielfilm an der ZHdK. Freischaffender Regisseur, Autor und Editor. Sein Kurzfilm 22:47 LINIE 34 gewann unter anderem an den Winterthurer Kurzfilmtagen den Hauptpreis des Schweizer Wettbewerbs und lief an zahlreichen internationalen Filmfestivals. Michael Karrers erster Langspielfilm FÜÜR BRÄNNT feierte 2023 Weltpremiere am Internationalen Filmfestival Rotterdam. Michael Karrer lebt und arbeitet in Zürich und ist Mitbegründer von «Sabotage Kollektiv».
