Old people’s home nurse Holger (42) tries to escape unresolved relationship issues by making a fresh start in a new town. However, he soon falls for Babs (49), who works in the kitchens at the same nursing home. But their romance gets off to a bad start as their boss Petra also expresses her attraction to Holger. The story gains further momentum when eccentric old Mrs Kramer claims that there are ghosts in the house, singing popular old hit songs. Soon the old, fragile woman with a walking aid becomes the film’s living embodiment for life and new beginnings.
