Swiss films at the 63rd Festival internacional de Cine San Sebastian

The Swiss short “L'offre” by Moïra Pitteloud as well as the two co-productions “La obra del siglo” by Carlos M. Quintela and “Une jeunesse allemande” by Jean-Gabriel Périot are to be seen at the Festival internacional de Cine San Sebastian (September 18-26, 2015) – the most important film festival in Spain.

The Swiss short “L'offre” by Moïra Pitteloud as well as the two co-productions “La obra del siglo” by Carlos M. Quintela and “Une jeunesse allemande” by Jean-Gabriel Périot are to be seen at the Festival internacional de Cine San Sebastian (September 18-26, 2015) – the most important film festival in Spain.

Moïra Pitteloud’s “L'offre” is taking part in the International Film Students Meeting, a competitive platform for films from film schools. The director studied at the Geneva HEAD and for her much applauded short “L'offre” (production: Bord Cadre films, Geneva & HEAD) won the prize for the best school film at the International Short Film Days Winterthur 2014. Last July Moïra Pitteloud was invited to the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival as one of ten film-makers by the European Film Promotion for the programme Future Frames, 10 new film-makers to follow.

La obra del siglo” by Carlos M. Quintelas is running in the Horizontes Latinos competitive section and is a co-production between Argentina, Switzerland, Cuba and Germany. The feature film co-produced by the Ticino company ventura film had its world première at the Rotterdam Film Festival and won both the Hivos Tiger Award as well as the Lions Film Award there.

The Zabaltegi section shows “Une jeunesse allemande” by Jean-Gabriel Périot, which was co-produced by Alina film in Geneva. The French-Swiss-German documentary about the Red Army Faction was presented at the panorama of this year's Berlinale and ever since has run at festivals around the world.
