Seven films that are being screened at the Guadalajara International Film Festival FICG are now showing in the renowned Cineteca Nacional in Mexico City from March 10-17.

Seven films that are being screened at the Guadalajara International Film Festival FICG are now showing in the renowned Cineteca Nacional in Mexico City from March 10-17.

While featured as the guest country at the 31st FICG, Switzerland is able to present an extensive programme showcasing Swiss filmmaking. A selection of films from the programme is also being screened in the Mexican capital, in collaboration with the Swiss Embassy.

The programme opens with “Eine wen iig, dr Dällebach Kari” by Xavier Koller on March 10. The selection also includes “Heimatland” by Michael Krummenacher, Jan Gassman et al., “Der Meister und Max” by Marcel Derek Ramsay and “Dora oder Die sexuellen Neurosen unserer Eltern” by Stina Werenfels. The animation film “Molly Monster” by Ted Sieger, Michael Ekblad and Matthias Bruhn will be featured in a special children’s screening. The two documentary films “Sleepless in New York” by Christian Frei and “Muchachas” by Juliana Fanjul round off this window of current Swiss filmmaking.
