The film follows Dominga, Fabiola and Maryuri, three young women struggling to survive in the Chureca, the largest dump in Central America located in Nicaragua. Dominga is terminally ill with aids and is looking for her abandoned son. 11-year-old Fabiola is caught in a struggle between loyalty to her mother and a group of evangelical Christians fighting for her to join a youth center far from the dump. At 19, Maryuri is at risk of losing the child she is expecting. In their quest for a better life, the three women will have to determine whether their mothers are their best allies or unexpected foes.
