Maravan, a Tamil asylum-seeker starts up a catering service of a special sort. Many years ago his grandmother in Sri Lanka initiated him into the art of aphrodisiac cuisine. Initially, Maravan cooks his amorous menus for couples referred to him by a sex therapist and then eventually for dubious, wealthy figures from politics and business. While cooking away problems of impotency on Zurich’s high-finance scene, he can’t but help overhear increasingly drastic indiscretions concerning arms smuggling and banking crises, and ultimately gets into hot water – despite his amorous menus.
