In the Swiss countryside, eleven-year-old Andrej visits his grandfather. But instead of his joyful friend, he encounters a sick old man. Andrej isolates himself from the outside world and escapes into his memories. He reflects on a summer downpour when everyone rushed into the house, and only his grandfather stayed sitting in the rain. Suddenly, he understands what the old man had been waiting for that day: he had been waiting for him!
