Ernst Beyeler has been dealing with art since 1947 and has put together a highly impressive art collection, for which he created the Fondation Beyeler and opened it to the public. Beyeler tells of tricky deals with works of art by some of modern times’ greatest artists and allows us a private view of priceless pictures in his collection that he refuses to put on the market despite their value being in the millions. Isler and Piguet’s film gives a fascinating insight into one of the last remaining great art dealers from an era when business went hand in hand with a passion for art.
