Messies – a balancing act between ingenuity and overload. Are you master of chaos or is chaos master of you? The film offers a multifaceted insight into the everyday lives of four messies. We embark on a trip through their jam-packed treasure chambers, discover their ingenious inventions, their dangerous tinkering and have a look around in their vast archives. We witness the conflicts they have with their relatives, neighbours and institutions that result from their being different. An intimate view of an irritating yet fascinating phenomenon.

Messies - Una situazione critica tra genialità e stress. Sono loro a controllare il caos o è il caos a controllare loro? Seguendo un’ottica stratificata, il film illustra una giornata di quattro Messie. Ci muoviamo come speleologi nelle caverne dei loro tesori stracolmi, scopriamo geniali invenzioni, i loro bricolage pericolosi e frughiamo negli immensi archivi da loro custoditi. Assistiamo dal vivo ai loro conflitti, costretti ad affrontare e risolvere con i parenti, i vicini e le istituzioni, perché diversi. Uno sguardo intimo dentro fenomeni irritanti e affascinanti.
