He was always at the wrong time and in the wrong place, until he escaped his destiny. From then on he became a journalist, writer and politician and he was the voice of those who found themselves at the edge of society. Not knowing his origins didn’t give him a lot of chances in life, but later on it was his way of fighting to get on to the sunny side of life: curious, free, easy and sometimes very direct. Nevertheless because of that he made a very special career: from an orphan to a journalist, from an unpaid farm labourer to a writer. One thing he has never achieved, dispite his great success: he hasn’t managed to completely integrate himself into society. He always remains an enigma, a stranger, and he will never fit into a common frame of life. But contrary to earlyer times in life he is now quite happy to be the man he is: Turi Honegger.
