6th Short Film Night Tour in the Romandie and in Ticino

The Short Film Night will tour eight cities in the French- and Italian-speaking regions of Switzerland from October 10 to November 14. The tour, organised by SWISS FILMS, is aimed at presenting the short masterpieces to larger cinema audiences. The main programme of the Short Film Night consists of four different sections with a total of 25 short films. In Lausanne (14 programmes) and Geneva (7 programmes), however, even more short films will be screened due to the collaboration with local partners: Base-Court (Lausanne) and Cinéma Tous Ecrans (Geneva).
Two of the programme sections are: Quartz – Swiss Film Prize 2008, featuring the nominees for the Swiss Film Prize, and a music programme (with the title: “Question de rythme”), both of which were screened in the German-speaking region of Switzerland. Two new programmes had been added to the autumn tour: “ FANTOCHE voyage en cinéma loin de chez lui “ (a carte blanche for the animation film festival Fantoche, Baden), as well as a programme featuring strange figures called “Drôle de type”.

The Short Film Night had already toured the German-speaking region of Switzerland from April 4 to May 30. The next edition is scheduled for spring 2009.
