Chechnya’s most important animated film festival has been taking place in the Southern Bohemian city of Trebon since 2002. This year’s 6th Anifest Trebon will be showing a series of international animated films in various competitions. Among them are six animated films from Switzerland, which will screen in different competition sections.

In the international short film competition, the two animated films "Not The End" (Clemens Steiger) and "Hang Over" (Rolf Brönnimann; Swamp Films) will be presented. The animated film "Not The End" is a playful round dance on the theme of "ending". It was released in January of 2006 and has finally received the recognition it deserves, given it will also be shown in important genre festivals at Stuttgart and Annecy. "Hang Over", which is portrays in slapstick-like fashion a man's fight in his apartment after intense partying. It was also nominated for the 2007 Swiss Film Prize.

In the student competition section, three animated films produced with HGK Lucerne will be screened: "Mare mosso/Rough Sea" by Cristina Altwegg, "Botteoubateau" by Marina Rosset, and "Recycled Planets" by Majgan Ghanaatgar and Jeanine Reutemann.

In the television film competition, the TSI-produced film "Peo Gallery - Katsushika Hokusai" (Director: Fusako Yusaki), along with the 26-minute television production "The Fourth King" will be shown. "The Fourth King" has been broadcast in four countries (Sweden, Germany, England, Switzerland), and it screened in Swiss movie theatres during the winter holidays. The short film "Muggeschiss", which was produced as part of the agent-provocateur series, will be presented online in the Internet competition.
