Audience award for “La vraie vie est ailleurs” at French Film Days in Tübingen .

At the 23rd French Film Days in Tübingen, which ended on November 8, 2006, “La vraie vie est ailleurs” by Frédéric Choffat (Rita Productions, Geneva) was given the audience award of the city of Stuttgart, with a prize sum of 2,500 Euro.
“La vraie vie est ailleurs” is the first long feature film by Geneva director Frédéric Choffat. It describes a moment in the life of three couples (husband – wife), one of each traveling by train somewhere in Europe. The film was also shown at the Festival des Films du Monde in Montreal, Sao Paulo, Locarno, and it will soon be screened in Kalkutta.



With approximately 80 films of all genres from France, Belgium, Canada, Africa, and Switzerland, the festival offers the audience of the university city of Tübingen and the provincial capital of Stuttgart an opportunity to discover a wide spectrum of contemporary French-speaking filmmaking.
