Audience Award for “La vraie vie est ailleurs” in Beaujolais

Frédéric Choffat’s fiction film “La vraie vie est ailleurs” (Rita Productions, Geneva) was presented the Audience Award at the 12th “Rencontres du cinéma francophone en Beaujolais” in Villefranche sur Saône (France), which was held from November 24 – December 2, 2007. This is the only prize awarded at this festival.
The audience jury, which was presided over by a film professional, selected “La vraie vie est ailleurs” from among eight films (three of which were from the French-speaking region of Switzerland) in the competition. Since its premiere at the Locarno International Film Festival in 2006, “La vraie vie est ailleurs” has been honoured with three international awards.
