The documentary film “Cleveland versus Wall Street - Mais mit dä Bänkler” by Jean-Stéphane Bron captured the audience at the 8th Festival Paris Cinéma (July 3-13, 2010). In the running against the eight films screened in the international competition, it won the Audience Prize. The award, endowed by the French television station Ciné Cinéma, offers a promotion campaign in conjunction with the film’s release in French cinemas on August 18. Jean-Stéphane Bron attended the award ceremony in Paris on July 12 to accept the award personally.

Jean-Stéphane Bron's film, which celebrated its world premiere in the Directors' Fortnight in Cannes last May, addresses the question of accountability in reference to the economic crisis triggered by subprime mortgages. He stages a "fictitious" trial in which the participants are real victims. Fifty prints of "Cleveland Versus Wall Street" will be released in French cinemas on August 18 (distributor: Les Films du Losange), with the release in the German-speaking region of Switzerland scheduled for September 9 (JMH Distributions).
