Awards for Swiss animation films at children’s film festival in France

“The Moon Children” by Ursula Ulmi was honoured with an award from the professional jury at the 7th “Plein la bobine” Festival in La Bourboule and Le Mont-Dore in France (June 11-17, 2009). In addition, Adrian Flückiger’s “Signalis” was honoured with the award presented by the festival’s school jury, namely a primary school class. The two award-winning films were produced at the Lucerne School of Art and Design (HSLU).
The Sancy Film Festival for Yong People (Auvergne) presented ist young audience short films suitable for children aged 3 and up, aged 7 and up and aged 12 and up in three competition programmes. The 5-minute animation film “The Moon Children” was screened in the category for preschool children and won an award from the jury comprised of film professionals. The 5-minute animation film “Signalis” was screened in the 7-and-up category and won the award from a primary school class which the festival had selected as a jury.
