The film “Con la licencia de Dios” by Simona Canonica was honoured with the award for Best International Short Film, endowed with EUR 2,500, at the 9th DocLisboa International Film Festival (October 20-30, 2011). In Kiev, the feature film “La petite chamber” by Véronique Reymond and Stéphanie Chuat won the Ecumenical Jury Prize for Best Feature Film at the 41st Molodist International Film Festival (October 22-30). In addition, the short animation film “La fille & le chasseur” by Jadwiga Kowalska received a Special Mention for Best Animation Film in Kiev. And another Swiss animation film, “Danny Boy” by Marek Skrobecki, was honoured with an award for Best International Animation Film, endowed with EUR 1,000, at the 14th “La Boca del lobo” International Short Film Festival in Madrid (October 19-29).

The short film "Con la licencia de Dios" by Ticinese director Simona Canonica (production: Ecal, Lausanne) was among the 14 films selected to participate in the International Short Film Competition at the documentary film festival in Portugal. The film won an award last April at the Festival Visions du Réel in Nyon

The award in Kiev for "La petite chamber" (production: Vega Film, Zurich) is the film's eighth since its premiere in Locarno in 2010. Ticket sales of 77,000 in Switzerland and two Swiss Film Prizes "Quartz 2012" last March renders it one of the most successful films of the year.

The animation film "La fille & le chasseur" has already been screened at more than 50 international festivals. Together with the Special Mention in Kiev, it also won a second award at the 19th Festival Chileno Internacional del Cortometraje in Santiago (October 19-25). With more than 40 festival selections and twelve awards, the Polish-Swiss coproduction "Danny Boy" (Archangel Film Group, Savosa) also ranks among this year's hits among Swiss animation films.
