“Beyond This Place” launched in France
The Swiss documentary film “Beyond This Place” by Kaleo La Belle will be screened in cinemas in France under the title “Cloud Rock, mon père” as of October 12, 2011.

The Swiss documentary film “Beyond This Place” by Kaleo La Belle will be screened in cinemas in France under the title “Cloud Rock, mon père” as of October 12, 2011. The distribution firm Nour Films in Paris launched the film with 25 prints. Kaleo La Belle, director and son of Cloud Rock La Belle, who describes his life as “stoned for 40 years”, challenged his father to take a bike trip through the state of Oregon in the U.S. and attempt to answer his questions concerning the failed father-son relationship and the hippie concept of freedom.
The film, produced by Docmine in Zurich, celebrated its premiere in 2010 at the Festival Visions du Réel in Nyon and was honoured with an award. Since then the film has been screened at about twenty international film festivals.
