“Home”, “Luftbusiness” and “Walpurgis” in Mar del Plata

Three Swiss fiction films will be screened at the 23rd Mar del Plata International Film Festival, which runs from November 6-16, 2008. Ursula Meier’s “Home” (Box Productions, Lausanne) will run in the international competition, with Dominique de Rivaz’s “Luftbusiness (Life For Sale)” (CAB Productions, Lausanne) and Frédéric Choffat’s “Walpurgis” being screened in the Panorama section.
Beginning with its world premiere in Cannes, “Home” – with Isabelle Huppert and Olivier Gourmet in the leading roles – has gone on to present a striking career, with further screenings at the major festivals in Tokyo, Montreal, Rio de Janeiro, Munich and London. In addition, “Home“ was the opening film at the am Francophone Film Festival in Namur and won two awards in Angoulême.
The Mar del Plata International Film Festival is the only festival in Latin America to be ranked in the ‘A’ category by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF).
