“Home” nominated for a César Award

Ursula Meier’s fiction film “Home”, a co-production between France, Belgium and Switzerland (Box Productions, Lausanne), is in the running for the César Award, the ultimate film award in France. The film will compete against four other films by young directors in the category of “Best First Feature”. The film’s cinematographer Agnès Godard received a nomination in the category of “Best Photograph”, as well as the film’s art director Ivan Niclass in the category of “Best Art Direction”.
The 34th award ceremony of the coveted César will be held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on February 27, 2009. This year’s ceremony, under the aegis of French actress Charlotte Gainsbourg, will be moderated by Antoine de Caunes.



The film “Home”, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008, is also in the running for the Swiss Film Prize QUARTZ 2009, which will be awarded in Lucerne on March 7. It has been nominated in the categories of “Best Fiction Film“, “Best Screenplay” (Ursula Meier and Antoine Jaccoud) and “Best Emerging Actor or Actress” (Kacey Mottet Klein).
