Jean-Stéphane Bron's film, which celebrated its world premiere last May in the Directors' Fortnight section in Cannes, addresses the question of accountability in reference to the economic crisis triggered by subprime mortgages. He stages a "fictitious" trial in which the participants are real victims. "Cleveland Versus Wall Street" will be released in France (distributor: Les Films du Losange) with 50 prints on August 18. Its release in cinemas in the German-speaking region of Switzerland is scheduled for September 9 (JMH Distributions).
