“La petite chambre” – Swiss candidate for an Oscar nomination

On September 18, 2010, in conjunction with the 2nd Festival Delémont - Hollywood the title of the film selected as the Swiss nominee for an Academy Award 2010 was announced by the jury of the Federal Office of Culture, presided over by actress Anne Richard.

On September 18, 2010, in conjunction with the 2nd Festival Delémont - Hollywood the title of the film selected as the Swiss nominee for an Academy Award 2010 was announced by the jury of the Federal Office of Culture, presided over by actress Anne Richard. The jury selected the film “La petite chambre” by Stéphanie Chuat and Véronique Reymond (Production: Vega Film, Zurich), which was honoured in Delsberg with the “Trophée Opale 2010” Audience Prize, amounting to CHF 10,000.

The film "La petite chambre" had already moved the audience in Locarno, where the film celebrated its world premiere in the international competition. French actor Michel Bouquet stars in the leading role of the film, which is a story of the heart, about an elderly man with a heart condition and a young nurse who share a brief part of life's journey between birth and death. SWISS FILMS, the promotion agency, has been commissioned with the promotion campaign for the film in the USA, aiming to draw the Academy members' attention to the film's potential as a nominee for Best Foreign Language Film.
