“La vraie vie est ailleurs” awarded in Canada

The film “La vraie vie est ailleurs” (transl. Real life is elsewhere) by Frédéric Choffat (Rita Productions, Geneva), was given the Prix La Vague for Best Fiction Film at the 21st Festival international du cinéma francophone, which took place in Moncton (Canada) from September 20 – 27, 2007.
The five-member jury selected Frédéric Choffat’s film for “his screenplay rich in twists, his astonishing statements about loneliness and his poetic imagery.”
“La vraie vie est ailleurs” participated in the festival competition along with 8 additional works. The film also won the audience award at the Festival for French-Speaking in Tübingen in 2006.
