Two films produced by Cobra Film in Zurich will be presented in the Discovery programme in Warsaw: The feature film "Songs Of Love And Hate" by Katalin Gödrös, which celebrated its premiere this year in Locarno, and the film "Der Kameramörder" by Hungarian director Robert Adrian Pejo, which premiered at the Moscow Film Festival in June. The film "Dowaha" by Tunisian director Raja Amari (coproduction Akka Film, Geneva) will also be screened in this section. As a gala screening the festival will present the film "Aurora" by Rumanian director Cristi Puiu (coproduction: Bord Cadre Films, Geneva), which was discovered this year in Cannes.

The two short animation film productions "Grosse Pläne" by Irmgard Walthert and "Mungge - Nid scho widr!" by Claudia Röthlin, Irmgard Walthert and Adrian Flückiger, both of which were produced at the Lucerne School of Art and Design (HSLU), and the short feature film "Ich bin's Helmut" by Nicolas Steiner round off the strong Swiss presence in Warsaw. The film promotion specialist Francine Brücher from SWISS FILMS is a member of the three-member jury of the 1-2 Competition, which presents an award to a first or second feature film.
