The film “Eine wen iig, dr Dällebach Kari” (English distribution title: “Someone Like Me”), which premiered at the Solothurn Film Festival 2012, will celebrate its North American premiere at the Mill Valley Film Festival. The Academy Award winner Xavier Koller will present his most recent work personally at the festival in California on October 13.
The film “Eine wen iig, dr Dällebach Kari” by Xavier Koller will be screened at the 35th Mill Valley Film Festival (October 4-14, 2012). The Swiss director, honoured with an Academy Award in 1991 for his film “Reise der Hoffnung,” will present his most recent work to the Californian audience at an evening screening on Saturday, October 13. The festival in Mill Valley, located just north of San Francisco, showcases independent film productions and has earned a reputation as a filmmaker’s festival. It is organised by the California Film Institute and attracts approximately 40,000 every year. Although there is no competition, the festival honours a select number of directors with awards for their filmmaking.
