Notable Swiss presence in Rotterdam
Eight film productions and coproductions from Switzerland are on the programme of the 40th International Film Festival Rotterdam.

Rotterdam will screen two highlights from the "Un certain regard" section in Cannes: Jean-Luc Godard's essay film "Film Socialisme" and the three-hour film "Aurora" by Rumanian director Cristi Puiu, who attended the College of Fine Arts in Geneva (coproduction: Bord Cadre Films, Geneva). Also presented will be the feature film "Songs Of Love And Hate" by Katalin Gödrös, screened in competition at the Film Festival Locarno, as well as the short films "Angela" by David Maye and "Mak" by Géraldine Zosso in the "Leopards of Tomorrow" section. And finally, the film "Nainsukh" by Indian director Amit Dutta, which premiered at the Mostra International Film Festival in Venice and was produced by the former director of the Museum Rietberg Zurich.
Swiss director Michael Krummenacher, a student at the University of Television and Film Munich, received an invitation to Rotterdam following the screening of his film at the Hof International Film Festival last autumn. This marks the second prominent international stage for his feature film "Hinter diesen Bergen", which he shot in the canton of Schwyz.
With support from SWISS FILMS, directors Michael Krummenacher, Brigitte Uttar Kornetzky and Katalin Gödrös will attend the festival in the Dutch port city to present their films personally to the audience.
