Prix Walo 2008 for “Auf der Strecke”

Reto Caffi was presented a trophy for his 30-minute drama “Auf der Strecke” at the award ceremony of the 35th Prix Walo in Interlaken on April 19, 2009. The Prix Walo, which is awarded to the most successful and popular artists in Swiss entertainment, was presented to Caffi in the “Film Productions” category and to Sabina Schneebeli in the “Actress/Actor” category.
In addition to “Auf der Strecke”, the fiction films "Happy New Year” by Christoph Schaub and “Marcello Marcello” by Denis Rabaglia were nominated for a Prix Walo in the “Best Film Productions” category. Reto Caffi remarked in his acceptance speech that his film was selected regardless of ist length, a fact that is especially pleasing for the recognition of the short film genre in general.
Sabina Schneebeli (“Das Geheimnis von Murk”), who expressed her preference for film roles, was in the running with Joel Basman (“Jimmie”) and Bruno Cathomas (“Happy New Year”).
