Prize for “EXIT, le droit de mourir” in La Rochelle

The documentary film “EXIT, le droit de mourir/EXIT, The Right To Die” by Fernand Melgar (Co-production: Climage, Lausanne, and TSR, Geneva) took home the Prix Golden Link bestowed by the European Broadcasting Union as part of the 17th Documentary film market “Sunny Side of the Doc”, which took place in La Rochelle from June 27-30, 2006. The Prix Golden Link goes to the best European co-production of the year. Six films competed for the bronze trophy, which was awarded for the fifth time this year.
The film “EXIT, le droit de mourir/EXIT, The Right To Die” portrays the work of the euthanasia organization EXIT. It has been invited to several international film festivals (among them Namur and Montreal), and won the 2006 Swiss Film Prize for “Best Documentary Film” in January.
