“Ready, Steady, Charlie”: 500,000 tickets sold in Swiss movie theatres

12.11.2003

After having played in movie theatres for eight weeks, the Swiss military comedy “Ready, Steady, Charlie” by Mike Eschmann crossed the symbolic threshold of half a million tickets sold on November 10, 2003. According to a press release by the film’s distribution company Buena Vista International (Switzerland), 50 copies of the film are currently showing in 34 locations.
With these results, “Ready, Steady, Charlie” (produced by Zodiac Pictures, Lucerne, Switzerland) is not only the number one film at the 2004 Swiss box office, but also the most successful production since the legendary “Swissmakers” by Rolf Lyssy (1978). As the film’s original language is Swiss German, a dubbed French version is currently being planned for the film’s release in the French part of the country.
