Sehsüchte Student Film Festival shows 6 Swiss films

Six short films from Switzerland will be screened at the International Student Film Festival "Sehsüchte" in Postdam-Babelsberg (April 24 - 29, 2007). Among them are the two films "Ashbrothers" (Steve Walker) and "Nightfluttering" (Carmen Stadler), which were both nominated for the 2007 Swiss Film Prize. Also presented will be "Der Citroën und ich" (Rolf Hellat), "Die Einweicher" (Romano Lanfranconi), and "Schnäbi (Willy)" (Luzius Wespe), which already participated in several international youth film festivals (Clermont-Ferrand, Dresden). All five films were produced at the HGK Zurich. In addition, the German-Swiss co-production "Poolside" (Michael Koch) will be presented (Production: Academy of Media Arts Cologne).

The festival is organized by students of the Postdam Film and Television Academy (HFF). It takes place for the 36th time. Eligible are short films by film students. Six different juries bestow 10 prizes with a total prize sum of 38,300 Euro.
