Ten successful Swiss film productions and coproductions will be presented at the 14th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, held in the Estonian capital from November 19-23, 2010. Animated Dreams is the parallel festival at which five Swiss animation film productions will be screened, with an award-winning Swiss short film at the Sleepwalkers Student Festival.

The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival presents films from Estonia together with a selection of current works from Europe and Asia. Swiss film productions screened in the festival programme range from Christoph Schaub's feature film "Giulias Verschwinden" (Julia's Disappearance), whose ticket sales have already reached nearly half a million in European countries, to Vadim Jendreyko's documentary film "Die Frau mit den 5 Elefanten" (The Woman With The 5 Elephants), which has been very successful in the cinema and at international festivals, and Godard's latest work "Film Socialisme", which is in high demand worldwide since its premiere in Cannes.

Parallel to this in Tallinn is the 12th Animated Dreams Festival, which will screen the animation film "Der kleinere Raum" (The Smaller Room) by Nina Wehrle and Cristobal Leon Dooner in competition as well as other award-winning Swiss films in other festival sections such as "Miramare" or "Schlaf" (Sleep). The 11th Sleepwalkers Student Film Festival will present the multi-award-winning film "El Patio" by Milagros Mumenthaler.
