Swiss films win in Leipzig and São Paulo

Olivier Zuchuat’s film “Comme des lions de pierre à l'entrée de la nuit” was honoured with an award at the International DOK Leizpig Festival, the most important festival in Germany for documentary film productions.

Olivier Zuchuat’s film “Comme des lions de pierre à l'entrée de la nuit” was honoured with an award at the International DOK Leizpig Festival, the most important festival in Germany for documentary film productions. And in São Paulo the Swiss coproduction “À perdre la raison” received an Honourable Mention from the International Critics’ Jury at the largest film festival in Brazil.

Olivier Zuchuat’s documentary film “Comme des lions de pierre à l'entrée de la nuit” (producer: Prince Film) was honoured with the Ecumenical Jury Award, endowed with EUR 2,000, at the 55th DOK Leipzig (October 29 - November 4, 2012). Three Swiss film productions were screened in various competitions, as well as ten others in the festival’s official selection. This is the first award for Zuchuat’s film since it premiered at the Festival Visions du Réel last April.

Honourable Mention from Critics’ Jury in São Paulo
The award-winning fiction film in Cannes “À perdre la raison” by Belgian director Joachim Lafosse (coproduction: Box Productions, Lausanne) was presented with an Honourable Mention from the Critics’ Jury at the 36th Mostra Internacional del Cinema in São Paulo (October 19 - November 1, 2012). Eleven film productions from Switzerland were screened at the most important film festival in Brazil.
