20.10.2004

Five Swiss films will be part of the program at the 38th International Hofer Filmtage, taking place from October 27-31, 2004. “North Wind” by Bettina Oberli (Production: Catpics, Zurich), which premiered at the Film Festival San Sebastian, as well as the new documentary film “Accordion Tribe” by Stefan Schwietert (Production: maximage, Zurich), which celebrated its premiere at the Nyon International Film Festival in 2004, will be shown at a German film event for the first time.
In addition, “Au large de Bad Ragaz” by Christophe Marzal (Light Night Production, Geneva), which will be released in the French speaking part of Switzerland on November 10 and can currently be seen at the 21st French Film Days in Tuebingen, Germany (beginning October 22), will be presented in Hof, along with “Hildes Reise” (Hilde’s journey) by Christof Vorster (Triluna Film, Zurich), and the short fiction film “Busenfreundinnen” (Close friends) by Gabriele Schärer (Production: Maat Film, Berne). Hof represents a particularly important platform for German film distribution. Directors Bettina Oberli, Christophe Marzal, Gabriele Schärer, and Christof Vorster will accompany their films to the festival. Main actor Michael Finger – who plays Rex in “Hildes Reise” – and André Jung - the 50-year-old jobless family father Erwin Graf in “North Wind” – are also expected to present at the Hof events.
