Tanner and Zglinski at Karlovy Vary

Two Swiss films will be presented at this year’s 40th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, taking place from July 1-9 in Karlsbad (Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic). “One Long Winter Without Fire” by young directing talent Greg Zglinski (Production: CAB Productions Lausanne) premiered at the Venice competition. Together with the latest work of the acclaimed director Alain Tanner, “Paul s’en va” (Paul is leaving – Production: Filmograph Geneva/CAB Productions, Lausanne), it will be shown in the section “Another View.”
The Karlovy Vary Film Festival is one of the biggest international film events. Its focus has been the cultural exchange between Eastern and Western Europe has been its focus, strengthened by the new membership of Middle-European nations to the European Union.
