Three Swiss films in Namur (Belgium)

The 22nd Namur International Festival of French-Speaking Film (FIFF), taking place in Namur (Belgium) from September 28 to October 5, 2007, will present the animated film “Jeu/Play” by Georges Schwizgebel in the international competition. Along with eleven additional short films, the Geneva director’s work will be in the running for the desired “Bayard d’Or” award. Jörg Hüssy (International Short Film Festival Winterthur) will be part of the 5-member jury who bestows the award. “Max & Co”, the long animated film by brothers Samuel and Frédéric Guillaume (Co-production: Max-le-Film, Lausanne) will be shown as part of a special screening. Also presented will be the short film “Le créneau“ by Swiss director Frédéric Mermoud, who currently makes Paris his home.
Ticino producer Tiziana Soudani (Amka Film Productions, Savosa) has been invited to participate at the 4th French-speaking Production Forum, along with director Joseph Kumbela who presents his film project “Les Sacrifiés”.



The festival is one of the biggest with its emphasis on French-speaking film. It screens more than 150 films, and attracts over 30,000 viewers. Prizes totaling 100,000 will be bestowed.
