Three Swiss short films selected for Danish festival in Odense

17.08.2009

Peter Volkart’s fiction film "Monsieur Sélavy" and Adrian Flückiger’s animation film "Signalis" will be screened in the international competition of the 24th Odense Film Festival in Denmark (August 17-22, 2009). The two short films are competing against 60 other works for the Grand Prix International, amounting to 3,500 euros. "Signalis" will also be screened in the "Children & Youth" competition, together with Julien Ezri’s "For A Fistful Of Snow".

Film directors Peter Volkart and Julien Ezri will present their works personally at the festival. Their attendance at the festival is supported by SWISS FILMS, the film promotion agency. The film festival in Odense, established in 1975, is devoted exclusively to the short film genre and thus one of the most important festivals for short film in Denmark.

Tobias Nölle was honoured with an award for "Most Surprising Film" with his film "René" at last year's festival.
