«Tribute to Richard Dindo»

27.04.2006

In dedication to the filmmaker, a comprehensive retrospective titled «Tribute to Richard Dindo» will take place in Rome from May 4-9, 2006. With Dindo in attendance, 10 of his films will be featured at the 5th Tekfestival. This will cover his consistent and steady work of the past 30 years ranging from «Die Erschiessung des Landesverräters Ernst S.» (The execution of traitor Ernst S.) to his latest film «Who Was Kafka?» This large Italian retrospective, with additional locations in Italy in the planning, is yet another acknowledgement to Richard Dindo, who has been honored for his filmmaking in recent years in countries such as Argentina, Iran, USA, and Canada.
The films will be shown with Italian subtitles. Organizers of the event are the Tekfestival and the Istituto Svizzero, both located in Rome, Italy. Support is provided by the promotion agency SWISS FILMS, which also publishes an Italian monograph as part of the «ciné-portraits» series.
